The color rendering below is in chalk pastel by Jeffrey Michael George, architectural illustrator. This 3D visualization in perspective was envisioned by Jeffrey and was entered into an international concept and rendering competition. The drawing shows Jeffrey’s design for an experimental iconic structure for a resort area in China, which could be visible for many miles. Jeffrey does many illustrations for a number of architectural clients in the South Bay, San Francisco, Bay Area Peninsula, Sierra Foothills, and Sacramento areas of northern California–and sometimes in China!
Color Pencil Rendering of Office Building in Winter for Reno, Nevada
It’s Cold in Them Thar Hills! That’s interesting–Spellchecker is apparently just fine with the word “thar”….The rendering shown below illustrates a proposed office building for a downtown Reno, Nevada location, designed by Sweeney Rose Architects of Reno…. The rendering is in the graphite and color pencil technique and is by Jeffrey Michael George, Architectural Illustrator. Jeffrey takes the plans and elevations from the Architect and generates a 3D perspective model of the building using his own CAD program, then draws and paints in the traditional technique, and sets it into the existing site context (also drawn and painted). Jeffrey works with many San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Peninsula, and Reno, Nevada architectural firms as a freelance illustration consultant to bring their designs to life in the form of full color perspective renderings.
Christmas Tree At Chico
Here’s our little Christmas Tree in the Chico house! Love this thing–it’s a Poinsettia tree that my dad gave us a couple years ago. Just take it out of the box and plug it in–sorry, I should have concealed the electrical cord. Oh Well….Merry Christmas Eve to All……
Rendering of New San Jose Church Building
The color rendering below is in color pencil and pastel by Jeffrey Michael George, architectural illustrator. This 3D visualization in perspective was commissioned by the South Bay architectural firm of Steinberg Architects of San Jose, a longstanding client of Jeffrey’s illustration business. The drawing shows Steinberg’s proposed design for a new church building to be located in San Jose, California, in the South Bay, about 50 miles south of San Francisco. This perspective view shows the proposed church building as one would see it from across a major downtown street. Jeffrey does many illustrations for a number of architectural clients in the South Bay, San Francisco, Bay Area Peninsula, and Sacramento areas of northern California.

A House Portrait! Kind of rare for me–but it’s fun when it happens….The rendering shown below is a color portrait of an existing home in Lafayette, California in the East Bay, across the Bay from San Francisco. I was commissioned by the family to create this painting to be given as a Christmas gift. This illustration is in watercolor by Jeffrey Michael George, Architectural Illustrator. Can’t get much more classic than Michaelangelo! I recently painted this watercolor based on Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling (fresco) of the Creation of the Planets….just a small detail of one of his paintings….but you learn, even when you’re basically copying a Master’s artwork….Fun and rewarding!

Did he say China ? Yes…..The rendering below is a color 3D visualization showing the front perspective view of a proposed custom residence planned for Nanhai , Foshan, China. Though located in China, the residence is designed by Pacific Peninsula Architecture of Menlo Park, CA, an architectural firm that designs many similar high-quality custom residences for the Peninsula cities south of San Francisco, and just north of Silicon Valley. This illustration is in a freehand pen technique with color pencil added, by Jeffrey Michael George, Architectural Illustrator. What’s More Fun than painting with wall paint and a Big Brush ? Nothing….This summer I took some old closet doors, cut them in half, and then painted with just six cans of different paint colors–splashing this one out in 45 minutes! No time to think, just paint! When the weather’s good, we hang them on the fence in our back yard….
