This is the steep rock where the cliff divers do their thing! The painting below is a 4 x 6 watercolor travel sketch I did while on vacation in Mazatlan, Mexico. I usually take a sketchbook along, and paint or draw whatever strikes me. In this case, we were walking around El Centro (Old Town) in the city, enjoying all the sights….

Brilliant Sunsets in Mazatlan in October! This painting is a watercolor travel sketch I did while on vacation in Mazatlan, Mexico. I find watercolor to be challenging and rewarding….The difference between watercolor and other techniques is that the watercolor adds its own personality to the finished artwork–because you cannot completely control the outcome….You just have to go with the flow!
