--smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1024\/742;\" data-original-sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/>\u00a0 Included here are two more images of the rendering in progress, showing snapshots at various points in the process.\u00a0 I am now getting into the medium tones or mid-tones, basically going from light washes I showed earlier, to somewhat darker (medium range) colors&#8211;both warm and cool.\u00a0 None of the colors I am using are pure strong colors, but are blends of greens, reds, yellows.\u00a0 To the greens I am adding brown and gold.\u00a0 To the yellows, I am adding browns and reds,\u00a0 To the blues I am adding a little red.\u00a0 The only pure white areas left are in the waterfall itself&#8211;and that is intentional so that in the end, the water falling will be the star of the show.\u00a0 This is consistent with Wright&#8217;s convictions that nature is always the most important and most impressive source for any work of art&#8211;architecture included.\u00a0 He believed that a house should never sit on top of a hill, but instead sit below the hilltop, serving reverence to the greater beauty of nature at all times.\u00a0 For Wright, nature provided great inspiration&#8211;it was not something to be dominated or challenged with one&#8217;s work.\u00a0 So in keeping with that, the colors I am choosing are more naturalistic, and the subject of this painting (the house) will not shine as brightly as the natural landscape within which it rests.\u00a0 Nature is the star of this show.\u00a0 In the second image here, you can see I have given more life and detail to the waterfall, using the colors of the rocky cliff behind the water to softly illustrate the falling water in motion.\u00a0 The window frames are a bright red which I have started to indicate here, giving the artwork the next level of detail.\u00a0 Next will be the addition of darker values and colors, so stay tuned for further progress postings.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-8570 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/b1204804.smushcdn.com\/1204804\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/JMG-Fallingwater-Progress-4-72-dpi-1024x761.jpg?lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1\" alt=\"JMG Fallingwater Progress 4 72 dpi\" width=\"1024\" height=\"761\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/b1204804.smushcdn.com\/1204804\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/JMG-Fallingwater-Progress-4-72-dpi-980x729.jpg?lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1 980w, https:\/\/b1204804.smushcdn.com\/1204804\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/JMG-Fallingwater-Progress-4-72-dpi-480x357.jpg?lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1 480w, https:\/\/b1204804.smushcdn.com\/1204804\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/JMG-Fallingwater-Progress-4-72-dpi.jpg?size=216x161&lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1 216w, https:\/\/b1204804.smushcdn.com\/1204804\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/JMG-Fallingwater-Progress-4-72-dpi.jpg?size=648x482&lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1 648w, https:\/\/b1204804.smushcdn.com\/1204804\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/JMG-Fallingwater-Progress-4-72-dpi.jpg?size=864x642&lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1 864w\" data-sizes=\"auto\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1024px;
